The Cortex 1 Piece Implant is made of titanium, an inert metal which has been proven to be effective at fusing with living bone, a process known as "osseo-integration". It is the direct structural and functional connection between living bone and the surface of a load-bearing artificial implant, typically made of titanium. It is a property virtually unique to titanium and hydroxyl apatite, and has enhanced the science of medical bone, and joint replacement techniques.
The application for its use is that it is recommended for narrow alveolar bone type and for lateral incisor maxilla.
